The Mahamrityunjaya mantra — also called the Mrita-Sanjeevani mantra — is Lord Shiva's most beloved mantra, praised from the Rigveda and Yajurveda to the Shiva Purana. The scriptures say that when illness turns grave and hope runs thin, this mantra should be chanted at least 64,000 or 1.25 lakh times.
Its japa is held to avert untimely death, relieve disease and fear, remove obstacles and fill life with positivity. If the anushthan is for a family member, keep the puja-flowers near their head after the daily worship.
The ritual is performed by learned Vedic scholars of our Pujan Mart. The havan follows the japa (about 6 hours of chanting each day). After the puja, the prasad is couriered to your home.
