Saturn is a stern karmic (krura) planet of the air element (karaka of Karma, Justice, Age, Discipline, Servant, Sorrow, Oil and Iron), while Rahu is a shadowy (chhaya) planet of the air element (karaka of Maya, Abroad, Technology, Sudden Events, Illusions, Ambition) — in conjunction their significations blend and act upon the matters of a single house.

General remedies
Saturn: To give peace / strength to Shani, Saturday fast, Hanuman Chalisa, chanting 'Om Sham Shanishcharaya Namah' and Shani-Dev/Hanuman-Puja are the best.
