The varshaphal (Tajika annual chart) is the chart of the moment the Sun returns each year to its exact natal degree — the varsha-pravesh (solar return). That instant is computed to the second with Swiss Ephemeris, which is why each year gets its own year-lagna, the foundation of that year's results. The Tajika method follows the tradition of Nilakantha's Tajikanilakanthi.
Along with the solar-return chart this calculator gives the Muntha (a sensitive point advancing one sign from the birth lagna every year — the house it occupies dominates the year's themes), the Varshesha (lord of the year chosen from the five office-bearers, selection method shown), panchavargiya and harsha bala, the Tajika Ithasala-Ishrafa yogas, the sahams (Punya, Vivaha, Karma and more) and the year's dated Mudda Vimshottari dasha — with buttons to step to any other year.
How does the varshaphal relate to the birth chart?
The birth chart is the lifelong promise; the varshaphal is its annual instalment — it cannot deliver what the natal chart does not hold. Year-readings are therefore always combined with the natal chart and the running mahadasha.
What is the Muntha and why does it matter?
The Muntha starts from the birth lagna and advances one sign per year, completing a cycle in twelve. Whichever house it occupies in the year chart — that house and its lord (Munthesh) set the year's main themes; Tajika texts rate the Muntha even above the year-lagna.
What is the Mudda dasha?
The Mudda Vimshottari is the Vimshottari dasha compressed into one year (~365 days) — showing, with dates, which planet runs each stretch of the year. It is the Tajika instrument for timing events within the year.
